This walkthrough is for a workspace owner or member with permission to connect channels and create posts. It follows the shortest safe path from sign-in to a scheduled target.

Plan forWhat you need
TimeAbout 10 minutes, plus provider authorization
AccessPermission to connect a channel and create content
ContentA ready caption and one provider-supported media asset if the channel requires media
ResultOne post visible in Calendar with an intentional schedule and target state

Before you start

Keep the correct social account open in another browser tab so authorization does not switch to a personal or unrelated brand account. Confirm which workspace, channel, timezone, and content are safe to use. If another person must sign off, ask the workspace Owner or Admin to configure the approval rule first.

1. Sign in and check the workspace

  1. Open BlendDuck sign in and request a one-time email code.
  2. Enter the code in the same browser. Never share it with support or a teammate.
  3. Open Workspace settings and confirm that you are working in the intended organization before connecting a client or brand account.

The first member of a new workspace is its owner. Invited members receive only the permissions assigned to their role.

2. Connect a social channel

  1. Open Dashboard → Channels.
  2. Choose the provider and select Connect.
  3. Complete the provider's official authorization screen.
  4. Select the intended Page, profile, channel, or location when the provider offers more than one.
  5. Return to BlendDuck and wait for the channel to show Connected.

Success check: the channel card shows the expected account name and Connected before you open the composer.

The provider decides which accounts appear. If the account is missing, verify its account type and your administrator rights, then read the channel guide.

3. Create the post

  1. Open New post.
  2. Select one or more connected channels.
  3. Add the shared caption and media.
  4. Use each channel variation to adapt copy, media, and provider settings.
  5. Review the preview and fix any validation warning before continuing.

Success check: every selected target has the intended copy and media, with no blocking validation error.

The shared post keeps planning and approvals together. Each channel target still publishes independently, so one provider failure does not hide the state of the others.

4. Review or schedule

  • If the workspace uses required approval, choose Send for approval and follow the approval workflow.
  • Otherwise choose a future date and timezone, then select Schedule.
  • Use Publish now only when the post is ready to go live immediately.

Open Calendar and confirm the post appears at the expected local time. Open the post to see the status of every channel target.

Success check: Calendar shows the expected date, local time, channel, and either a scheduled state or an approval state that explains the next action.

5. Check the result

At delivery time a target moves through scheduled and publishing states. A successful target shows Published and, when the platform returns one, a link to the native post. A failed target keeps its provider error and can be retried after the underlying problem is fixed.

You are done when

  • The intended channel shows Connected.
  • The post contains the correct shared and channel-specific content.
  • Calendar shows the expected timezone and delivery time.
  • Required approval is complete, or the post clearly waits in To review.
  • Every target has an understandable scheduled, publishing, published, or failed state.
