BlendDuck's Snapchat connection targets Public Profiles. It publishes either a Spotlight video or a Story media item; it does not publish to personal accounts.

Before you start

  • Confirm the Snapchat account has access to the intended Public Profile.
  • Prepare exactly one public HTTPS media file no larger than 64 MiB.
  • For Spotlight, use an MP4 video and prepare a caption of up to 160 characters.
  • For Story, prepare one image or video and leave the text field empty.

Connect a Public Profile

  1. Open Dashboard → Channels.
  2. Choose Snapchat → Connect.
  3. Approve Public Profile access on Snapchat.
  4. Select and verify the intended profile returned by account discovery.
  5. Create a low-risk test with the correct Spotlight or Story format.

Choose Spotlight or Story

FormatBlendDuck requirements
SpotlightExactly one MP4 video, optional caption up to 160 characters, and a locale such as en_US; saving to the Public Profile can be skipped.
StoryExactly one image or video and no text/caption.

Both formats upload the media before publication. Spotlight then enters an asynchronous provider workflow and can be submitted, live, or rejected. Keep the first operation and wait for its status instead of uploading the same video again.

Use Analytics

Snapchat Analytics can include account, follower, Spotlight, and Story data. It refreshes daily. Social Inbox is not available through this connection.

You are done when

  • the correct Public Profile appears under Channels;
  • a test Story publishes, or a Spotlight reaches its final provider state; and
  • the media, locale, caption behavior, and Analytics profile are correct.
