LinkedIn channel guide
Connect a personal profile or Company Page and publish within BlendDuck's current LinkedIn capabilities.

BlendDuck can connect either a LinkedIn personal profile or a Company Page. Choose the publishing identity before authorizing: a profile post and a Page post use different account access and cannot be switched after a draft is scheduled.
Choose a connection type
| Connection | Use it for | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Personal profile | Publish as the signed-in LinkedIn member | The member authorizes profile publishing. |
| Company Page | Publish as an organization and use Page analytics/community capabilities | The member administers the Page and the deployment has Company Page access configured. |
If only one option appears, the other LinkedIn credential set may not be configured for the BlendDuck deployment.
Connect LinkedIn
- Open Dashboard → Channels.
- Choose LinkedIn, then select Personal profile or Company Page.
- Sign in to the LinkedIn member who owns the profile or administers the Page.
- Approve all requested permissions.
- For a Company Page, select the intended organization from the Pages returned by LinkedIn.
- Verify the profile or Page name in BlendDuck and publish a test post.
If a Company Page is missing, confirm that the LinkedIn member is an administrator. Viewer or content-consumer access is not enough for discovery and publishing.
Publish a post
The current BlendDuck LinkedIn adapter publishes public text, image, and video posts.
- Commentary is required and can contain up to 3,000 characters.
- Hashtags can be included in the text.
- Attach up to 20 JPEG, PNG, or GIF images, or one MP4 video. Images and video cannot be mixed in one post.
- Each image must contain fewer than 36,152,320 pixels. Video must be between 3 seconds and 30 minutes.
- Documents, polls, reshares, and threaded posts are not yet sent by this adapter.
- Published content goes to the main feed with public visibility.
When a shared draft contains mixed images and video or another unsupported format, open the LinkedIn customization and prepare a valid LinkedIn variant.
Analytics and community comments
LinkedIn Analytics covers post results. Provider reporting can lag by up to 48 hours, so compare settled periods rather than treating a new post as zero performance.
Social Inbox can sync comments only when the LinkedIn Community Management review and feed permissions are available. With effective access, BlendDuck can reply to and delete supported comments. It does not expose LinkedIn direct messages, reactions, comment hiding, or outbound attachments through this adapter.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Resolution |
|---|---|
| Company Page option is absent | The deployment may not have the community credential set configured. Use profile publishing or ask an administrator to configure Page access. |
| No Company Pages are returned | Sign in as a Page administrator and grant the organization permissions during reconnection. |
| Composer rejects media | Use up to 20 supported images or one MP4 video, without mixing images and video; check pixel count and duration. |
| Comments are absent from Inbox | Confirm Community Management review and the feed scopes; publishing permission alone is not enough. |
| New analytics are empty | Wait for LinkedIn processing, broaden the date range, and reconnect if analytics permissions were added later. |
| Authorization was revoked | Reconnect the same publishing identity, then review queued posts before their next attempt. |
Use Publishing and channel customization when preparing one idea for multiple networks, and Content approvals before publishing from an executive profile or company brand.
