Connect Reddit, prepare text or link submissions, respect subreddit rules, and review post results.

Reddit publishing is community-specific. BlendDuck can validate the submission shape, but subreddit rules and moderation still determine whether it stays live.

Before you start

  • Sign in to the Reddit account that should own the post.
  • Read the destination subreddit's rules, required flair, and posting limits.
  • Prepare a title of up to 300 characters and the exact subreddit name.
  • Choose a text post or link post; media publishing is not available in this adapter.

Connect Reddit

  1. Open Dashboard → Channels.
  2. Choose Reddit → Connect.
  3. Approve identity and submission access, including permanent connection access.
  4. Confirm the Reddit username shown in BlendDuck.
  5. If Analytics is required, reconnect with history and read permissions.

Create a submission

TypeRequired fieldsLimit
TextSubreddit, title, and bodyBody up to 40,000 characters
LinkSubreddit, title, and valid destination URLNo media attachment

Enter the subreddit without relying on browser autocomplete. BlendDuck accepts names of 3–21 letters, numbers, or underscores and normalizes an r/ prefix. One scheduled item creates one Reddit submission; threaded replies are not supported.

After publish, follow the returned Reddit link and check whether moderators or automated rules removed the submission. A successful API response is not a promise that the community will keep the post visible.

Use Analytics

Reddit Analytics covers posts when history and read access are present. It has no configured provider delay and refreshes about every six hours. BlendDuck does not provide Reddit comments or messages in Social Inbox.

You are done when

  • the correct Reddit account is connected;
  • the test submission opens in the intended subreddit and remains visible; and
  • any provider or moderator feedback has been recorded for the next post.
