TikTok channel guide
Connect a creator, prepare videos or photo posts, set disclosure and interaction controls, and track publishing.

TikTok Direct Post is account-aware. Before each publish, BlendDuck reads the creator's available privacy levels, interaction restrictions, and maximum video duration. A setting that worked for another creator is not automatically valid for this one.
Connect TikTok
- Sign in to the intended TikTok creator account.
- Open Dashboard → Channels.
- Choose TikTok → Connect.
- Approve the requested identity and publishing access.
- Verify the creator username and avatar in BlendDuck.
- Create a private or otherwise low-risk test post using a privacy level that the composer returns for that creator.
If Analytics permissions are requested during reconnection, approve them to enable post and follower data. Publishing access by itself does not guarantee analytics access.
Choose a media format

| Video | Exactly one MP4, MOV, or WebM video. Caption up to 2,200 characters. The creator-specific duration limit is shown at publish time. |
| Photo post | Between 1 and 35 JPEG or WebP images. Description up to 4,000 characters and optional title up to 90 characters. |
Do not combine a video and photos. Each photo must be no more than 20 MB; a video must be no more than 4 GB, with width and height between 360 and 4096 pixels. The composer validates known metadata before submission, while TikTok performs the final validation.
Configure the post
- Select one of the privacy levels returned for the creator. Do not assume Public to everyone is available.
- Enable comments only if the creator permits them.
- For video, enable Duet or Stitch only when TikTok reports that capability.
- For a photo post, choose whether TikTok should add music automatically.
- Mark Video made with AI when it applies.
- If the content promotes a product, service, or brand, enable disclosure and select Your brand, Branded content, or both.
- Accept the publishing consent shown for the selected disclosure mode.
Branded content cannot use Only me visibility. BlendDuck blocks submission until disclosure choices and publishing consent are internally consistent.
Processing and Analytics
TikTok returns a publish operation before the public post is always ready. BlendDuck records it as processing and checks the provider status. Do not submit the same post again while the first operation is still processing.
TikTok Analytics includes posts and follower history, with provider data that can lag by about 24 hours. Public commercial APIs do not provide customer comment moderation through this adapter. TikTok Inbox remains unavailable unless the deployment has a separately approved partner connector.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Resolution |

| No privacy level is selectable | Reconnect the creator and let BlendDuck reload the current publishing configuration. |
| Comments, Duet, or Stitch cannot be enabled | The creator or TikTok has disabled the setting; publish with it off. |
| Media format is rejected | Use one supported video or 1–35 JPEG/WebP photos, never both. |
| TikTok reports a duration error | Follow the creator-specific limit displayed by BlendDuck, even if another account accepts longer video. |
| Disclosure validation fails | Select Your brand, Branded content, or both; do not use Only me for branded content. |
| Post remains processing | Wait for the status check and read the provider failure reason before retrying. |
| Analytics is empty | Allow for provider delay and reconnect if analytics scopes were not granted. |
