Social Media Proposal Template: Scope, Deliverables, Pricing, and Sign-Off

Social Media Proposal Template: Scope, Deliverables, Pricing, and Sign-Off
13 min read

A proposal should turn a sales conversation into a decision-ready operating agreement without pretending that unknown scope is already certain.

A social media proposal connects a client problem to a bounded service, commercial terms, and a credible delivery method. It is not a generic capabilities deck and it should not hide uncertain requirements behind a single monthly price.

Download the English proposal CSV or Chinese proposal CSV. Keep confidential commercial information in the client’s approved system.

Start with the client decision

Summarize the current situation, target audience, business outcome, evidence available, key constraints, and the decision the client is making. Separate confirmed facts from assumptions that require discovery.

Define success with a baseline, measurement window, metric definition, data source, and decision rule. Do not promise reach, revenue, followers, or platform outcomes the agency cannot control.

Define scope and deliverables

List channels, accounts, markets, languages, formats, monthly volume, campaigns, strategy, creation, adaptation, approval, publishing, community coverage, reporting, meetings, response times, revision rounds, and accessibility requirements.

For each deliverable, record owner, client dependency, acceptance criteria, cadence, and evidence of completion. Distinguish included work, optional services, pass-through costs, and explicit exclusions.

Explain the operating workflow

Show intake, briefing, source validation, production, channel adaptation, review, specialist checks, final approval, scheduling, delivery verification, community escalation, analytics, and review. Name the client and agency owners at every handoff.

Material changes to claims, offer, date, destination, media, rights, disclosure, or account identity should reopen approval and may change price or timing.

Present pricing and commercial boundaries

State the pricing unit, fee, billing schedule, term, setup work, overages, rush work, additional revisions, travel, creators, media, taxes, cancellation, pause, renewal, and payment terms. Connect the fee to capacity and scope using the agency pricing calculator.

Include proposal validity, assumptions, dependencies, change-order process, ownership and usage rights, confidentiality, security, data handling, and legal review requirements.

Proposal acceptance checklist

  • Client problem, outcome, audience, baseline, and decision are explicit
  • Deliverables, accounts, formats, volume, owners, and acceptance criteria are listed
  • Workflow, approval, publishing, reporting, and escalation are defined
  • Fee, term, payment, overages, optional costs, and exclusions are visible
  • Assumptions, client dependencies, risks, and change rules are recorded
  • Rights, disclosure, accessibility, security, and data boundaries are addressed
  • Final sign-off identifies the accepted version and authorized people

After acceptance, transfer the signed scope into the client onboarding checklist rather than asking delivery teams to reconstruct the agreement.
